Very interesting! Particularly since they seem to know who the pickpocket gang is.

Thanks for posting!

aquamarinesteph, isn't it interesting, that its newsworthy enough that it will make the newspaper. In my city, a couple of purse-snatching at a local mall resulted in police warnings broadcast on the local news. If you go out in a crowd, look around (discreetly) and you'll see how many people, male and female, walk around with that fat wallet, phone, car keys, or can of Skoal, bulging in their jean's back pockets. I think Americans are just too lazy to acquire good pickpocketing skills or we'd see more of it.

Where's the best Parthenon outside of Greece?

Hey I didn't realize Skoal would be an obscure reference. Maybe its less prevalent now that vaping is in fashion. Do a google search on "skoal pocket ring" and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for all of the replies! I just wanted to point out that pickpockets happen in the US as well as when we travel abroad.

About pickpockets specifically in Nashville - if you're not walking around downtown while inebriated, your chances of being a victim are WAY less.

And, yes - Nashville has a wonderful version of the Parthenon. Be sure to see the statue of Athena inside if you pay for the view.)

If you don't want to stay downtown in what's now tourist central, you have lots of options. A little research ahead of time will save you a ton of money and time.
