Looking for recommendations: A Mt. Kilimanjaro tour with an ethical company, and capablilites to add a Safari tour;
any feedback regarding the 7 routes for a group will be greatly appreciated.

We did a great safari tour of Kenya and Tanzania with a Tanzanian company named Good Earth Tours. They were excellent and had reasonable rates.
I believe the mountain is in Tanzania.

We did the Rongai Route which has the advantage of taking 6 days, so you can acclimate better therefore a better chance of reaching the summit. Also, on that route, you camp beneath the second summit Mawenzi, which is spectacular. If you are used to hiking, the climb is not difficult, certainly nothing technical. It's just the altitude that makes it challenging, but what a thrill to stand on the summit! You might take diamox with you just in case. Good luck.
