Morocco tour

Unfortunately RS does not have a full Moroccan tour. Can anyone recommend a good tour there - small numbers, various parts of the country, including out into desert and to sea coast, not camping, but doesn't need to be luxurious. Many thanks for your help and recommendations. Also, which months are best for travel there?

I have used Explore in the past. They are based out of the UK. Started in Casablanca and ended in Marrakesh, with a time on the sea coast. It is not luxurious but hotels are located in locations in the center of the city or town. Great guide, fun activities, and good people. We did camp one night in the desert but I would guess you can stay in a hotel instead for that night.

Sallam 'lekum Heather,

This journey from Casablanca to Marrakesh may be what you're looking for? Small group, desert and coast, quality accommodation. Happy planning!

We have booked a trip to Morocco for Sept 2014 with Gate One Travel. 16 days including flights from JFK to Casablanca, nice hotels, visits to Rabat, Roman ruins at Volubilis, Fez, crossing the Atlas mountains to Erfoud, spend one night in a large tent in the Sahara (looks quite intriguing and adequate) , includes hikes out for sunrise/sunset in the Sahara dunes, Marrakesh, Essaouira (resort on beach) and only one night in Casablanca - which I have heard is plenty.

Small group of only 20 people. Check out their web site

Winter can be cool and raining and summer is too hot (often over 100 F in Fes, or in the dessert), so aim for spring or fall.
