I am considering a trip to Morocco in November or December? Has anyone traveled during these months and if so, how was the weather and crowds?
Maybe this will help slightly - we visited in January of this year. The Medinas in Marrakech and Fes were busy with people, but nothing was totally packed. Maybe a lot different in November/December ???
We were the only guests some nights in a couple of the riads we stayed in, and our trip to the desert, we were on our own 2 out of 3 nights. Not certain how different Nov/Dec would be, but would still have to be a bit off-season. On the other hand, people avoiding the intense desert heat in July and August might be naturally drawn to the relatively cooler late fall and early winter months.
Fes was cold at night, and the desert was freezing after it got dark in January. Again, Nov/Dec might be a bit different, but I’d bet not a whole lot warmer. Jackets, fleece layers, ski cap were all handy in January. By the way, we booked a desert tour thru the Desert Majesty Tours company - I would recommend them!
Very helpful. Thank you for your response!
Oh, and space heaters were provided, but things still got chilly. Getting up in the night to use the bathroom was cold.
Good to know! Thank you!
