What can anyone tell me about tours t Morocco? I’ve looked up a couple tour companies both had many good reviews and a few very negative reviews. One was I trepidation, don’t remember the other. Am going to look at Kensington next, but would love some advice from people who have been there.

Great tour(and air fare) using Friendly Planet.com. Probably 24 on the tour, and we did it all. Stayed in 5 star hotels(in one we had a ceiling to floor water fall!) .

I just arrived back home four weeks ago from a tour to Morocco. I went with OAT (Overseas Adventure Travel) and the tour was wonderful. Our guide was smart, empathetic, creative, responsive always, and did everything possible to make sure everyone on the tour was being heard and feeling respected and included. Good hotels, good food, and great interactions throughout the tour with local Moroccans. OAT limits tours to 16 people (except the ship tours), and I really enjoyed the company of the interesting other folks on the tour. OAT has great reviews, and often has "specials" on the pricing of their tours. Also: there is no single supplement charge.
Thanks. Looked them up along with the other tour group mentioned. Both had several negative reviews which gives me pause. But I will say OATs negative reviews seemed to be a lot of traveler over expectations.
Depends how much you want to rely on the tour company for. We used Morocco Fabulous Travel for a 3-day Fes>Marrakech Sahara Tour, with an overnight in a tent in the Sahara. We highly recommend them (https://moroccofabuloustravel.com/), but otherwise guided ourselves from Gibraltar > Tangier > Chefchaouen > Fes.
We’ve taken OAT tours in southern Africa (safari) and in Vietnam, but for Morocco in January 19, we used Desert Majesty, a private tour for the 2 of us, which I’d highly recommend. In the big cities, Marrakech and Fes, we were on our own, although each riad we stayed in arranged for a guide to take us to sights in town upon request.
