We're headed to Morocco on tour in May. I've got the Rough Guide, Fodor's, DK, Insight and Lonely Planet out on inter-library loan, but wondering which you, the reader, found most like a RS Guidebook while you were there?
Thanks.

We checked out every book our library had, too, for initial planning, but we took a Lonely Planet with us on the trip. User-friendly maps are one of the most helpful things in a guidebook, besides sights descriptions. We wound up having dinner at the riads where we stayed in Marrakech and Fes, and at the places our desert tour arranged, so guidebook restaurant suggestions weren’t used on our Morocco trip.
DK Eyewitness books seem to be really scant on details for sights, if you don’t count their 3-D exploded drawings of buildings (I certainly don’t), and they’re so heavy to haul around. They must use a heavyweight coated paper, or something, to get such heavy books.
Thanks. Good points.
