This was years ago and I was leery, but we were approached by a guide at the Mexico City airport and went with him for the day. He was great and we had a wonderful tour of the city. Lucky, I guess!

Exactly what do you expect from the guide? I have used one on two ocassions and probably will again this year but she is more of a guide and facilitator than tour guide.

Contact Carlos Rivero on WhatsApp at +522226811699. He is based in Puebla but he picked us up at MEX, provided transport to Puebla, three days of touring, cooking class with his wife, transportation back to Mexico City. I believe that he also guides in Mexico City. If he can't, he'll probably be able to give you a reference to someone. He and his wife were so lovely, very flexible, we felt like their family by the time we left!
