We’re off to Memphis next weekend. 2 days, 3 nights. Easter Sunday may trim our sails a bit.
We’re wondering about which music museum(s) to visit - what do y’all suggest and why? Stax is closed on Easter Sunday.
We have other ideas and plans … live music, breakfast spots, BBQ, National Civil Rights Museum. But not enough time or bandwidth for all three music museums in Memphis. And no, Graceland does not sing to us. Elvis is great, but we’re passing on his residence. I’m sure he’ll be well represented at Sun as well as Rock&Soul; I expect not at Stax.
After Memphis, we head down Highway 61, Delta Blues and BB King museums, then (after Vicksburg & Natchez) to Louisiana for the Scott Boudin Festival and New Orleans’ French Quarter Fest. 🎼 🎹 🎷 🎸 😎
