I'm planning a weekend in Memphis toward the end of October and welcome any tips, ideas, suggestions, dos and don'ts.
We are 3 aging adults who love music, history and wine. 1 of us is inexplicably not a bourbon-lover, but she's willing to tour distilleries and watch us taste. We'll have a car. We're not interested in Graceland, 2 have already been.
Perhaps you would enjoy visiting the lobby of the Peabody hotel to see the ducks parade, have a drink, or even splurge and stay there.
If you are interested in history, the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel where MLK Jr was assassinated.
Have dinner on Beale Street then spend some time watching the street performers or find some live music.
