The opportunity has arisen for me to take a short trip this summer to the above resort. Is anyone familiar with it?
I've never been to the Bahamas before. My mom was there on a cruise years ago and really loved it. I looked at the weather b/c I was afraid it would be hotter than Hades but it looks not too bad (80s F) and of course there are pools etc. at the resort.
Has anyone been to Memories and/or Grand Bahama Island? Would love to have your input, please.

As for the Memories resort also look in Tripadvisor at the many reviews for it:
I've been to Grand Bahama Island many years ago...it's an ok place. Nothing spectacular that I can remember.
Also a long time since I've been there, but don't expect scenic. It's all about the beaches. There is usually a steady breeze blowing in the islands, so temperatures near the shores are moderated by that. Summer is hurricane season, as you must be aware.

Um...no, I didn't realize that about hurricane season. I thought that was in the autumn.
Hurricane season is generally considered to be June - October, with August and September as the most likely.
As others have said, there's usually an ocean breeze if you're not too far inland. And the ocean keeps temperatures down, so it's not too bad. I've never been to Grand Bahama but have spent time on the Out Islands of Abaco in June and July. So I would say go and have a great time!
Officially the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 thru November 30.
