Hello. We will be in Marrakech for 5 full days in May and looking for a reputable guide to take us out to the the Sahara for two nights. Recommendations please? Also if you have any recoendation for a personal guide while in Marrakech would also be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Feel free to contact my good friend Felicity Greenlaw-Weber of Desert Majesty, who is based in Ouarzazate as well as Marrakech. If you're heading to the dunes of Erg Chebbi (Merzouga), may I also recommend contacting Rachid at Dar el Janoub should you wish to stay one or both of your nights in an auberge rather than out in the dunes.

Rachid’s relaxed, easygoing style belies a fountain of knowledge, and clients are just as likely to end the tour discussing Islamic politics as they are carpet prices. On that note, Rachid gladly bypasses all shops should you wish.
