Malaysia itinerary question

Hi,
Need some advice -- Here is my initial itinerary and would like some suggestions.
Am I spending enough/to much time in these places.

Kuala lumpur: 4 nights
Cameron Highlands: 2 nights
Penang: 2 nights
Langkawi: 2 nights

I'm going there in Late December (YES I know its the rainy season, but I have no ability to change that).

Penang and Langkawi are pretty similar. Unless you have an overriding reason to visit both I'd suggest choosing one or the other. Also, since their main attraction is the beach going during the rainy season sort of defeats the purpose. In general the weather on the west coast is a little better (ie dryer) than it is on the east side.
Kuala Lumpur is a modern metropolitan city but it is, after all, a city. Once you've seen the Petronas Towers and done a little shopping you've pretty much covered it unless you plan to use it as a base for day trips. Otherwise I would think that a couple of days there would satisfy your curiosity about the place.
Maybe better (IMO) to use the extra days to visit another destination in the region. Per your previous post it looks like you already plan to visit Singapore, so maybe consider the short flight up to Bangkok or, as I think I mentioned before, work your itinerary to include a return flight with a stopover for a few days in Hong Kong - another fascinating place.

We did a three day tour of Malaysia from Singapore in 2015. We spent 1.5 days in Kuala Lumpur and did about half of what is suggested for your four nights. Not sure that I would spend 4 nights there. Have you looked at tours?

It all depends on the number of days a person has. 3 days tour of Malaysia is a rush vacation compare to 10 days. It is good to explore these places at a leisurely pace.
