Los Angeles Dodgers WIn World Series in the 11th Inning!!

The L.A. Dodgers won game 7 and their second back-to-back World Series by scoring in the eleventh inning.
The final score against the Toronto Blue Jays was 5 to 4.
Both the Blue Jays and the Dodgers made this World Series a truly competitive and memorable one.
Well done Toronto and Los Angeles!

Sad for the team, but so happy for yet another event that has brought out the patriotism in the Canadian people.
Good work both teams.

Absolutely fantastic. There were times I had given up on their being do a come-back. Come-back they did....outstanding.

As a life long SF Giants fan could care less and I’ve lived in LA for nearly 35 years.

Will never forget what happened to Bryan Stowe in a Dodger Stadium parking lot.

Last Giants vs Dodgers game I attend was in SF in 2016. It was the tribute game to Dodgers announcer Vin Scully. Totally respected the man. Loved that on that day he was visited in the booth by his favorite baseball player, Willie Mays.

A special day.

I'm just the opposite of you. Life long Dodgers fan living in Northern California. I will never forget when Juan Marichal beat Johnny Roseboro over the head with a bat.

I attended many a game at Chavez Ravine. Congratulations to the Dodgers.

I'm extra happy as my cousin works for the Dodgers. I think he gets a ring as well.

One incident that went largely unnoticed during game 7 was when Yamamoto tipped his cap to Guerrero after he'd gotten him out in the bottom of the 11th inning - a classy gesture of true sportsmanship that restored my faith in mankind as a species.
Doesn't matter which team you were rooting for. It was a great series between two terrific teams - one of the best in recent memory I think.

Just got back from Tours, France. What an incredible series, top-shelf sports entertainment!

Tried to arrange watching game 7 in Paris an hour away but both of their sports bars shut-down at 2 am. Some Giants fans had posted their dismay from a few years back at watching literally the first pitch then being told, 'We are closing now, mes amis'! Tours itself actually has its own 'Canadian Bar' but it was BS. Then I tried to watch with Tours' remaining amateur baseball team 'the Coyotes' (their semi-pro franchise went bankrupt last year) but their coach never responded. Also, saw that our landlords had a TV package allowing for viewing replays of each game, but those folks were away on vacation and we didn't feel right adding extra fees onto their Tv package billing.
Then the PVN just would not cooperate, this chimp could not get it to work. Sigh...

So in the end, I saw nearly all the playoff games in a way never experienced before: by game-tracking via NYTimes, CBS sports plus the Guardian.
Our Taschen-like Tours rental was owned by a pair of magistrates and was a straight out of Architectural Digest magazine, a splurge if ever. So there I was repeatedly 'watching' from 2-5:30 am (try that at our age) after having already been exhausted from numerous daytrips, in a luxe living room almost bigger than our entire house. My wife snored upstairs.

My fave sport is by far football, both Canuck plus NFL. But this was special, both teams getting the greatest production possible from their entire rosters.

I am done. the lagjet

I watched my Marlins win game 7 of the 1997 World Series in extra innings from my hotel room in Edinburgh on ESPN International. One more inning and not sure what I would have done as I had to leave for the airport to fly home. It’s crazy that it was easier to watch games 28 years ago.

Katiecam you do know that Marichal was a pall bearer at Roseboro’s funeral.

Katiecem and Claudia, I also vividly remember that Marichal incident from my childhood. It's hard to believe that Marichal was allowed to join the Dodgers at the end of his career.

I never knew that Marichal was a pallbearer for him. That helps me deal with it now.

And the thugs that nearly killed Bryan Stowe got a very light sentence. Certainly compared to what he is still dealing with now.

Robert yes, that hat tip was classy and I loved it.

We were on a long flight (SFO to LHR) during Game 7. The man in the (bulkhead) row ahead of my husband was watching the game on his phone. My husband could see the score in the early innings. Then the phone wasn't angled right for my husband to see it; he fell asleep anyway; plus we didn't want to know the ending and planned to watch the highlights on YouTube once we got to London. Luckily I didn't see any notifications about the game, but my husband (who didn't care as much about spoilers) let slip to me that Yamamoto was the MVP :-)
We still had fun watching the MLB summary on YouTube. Amazing and fun series.

Luckily we had no dog in this fight and were able to just enjoy the athleticism, sportsmanship, excited fans, double plays, etc. without stress. My husband was kind of rooting for the Blue Jays, and I was kind of rooting for LA (I'm part Japanese, so the three Japanese pitchers were intriguing to me, plus they are just amazing athletes), but as I grew up in Buffalo I would have been happy if Toronto had won.
