Looking for a nice lounge for several hours at Terminal 1 of JFK Airport

We have several hours of a layover before we catch our Egypt Air flight to Cairo.
We don't qualify for one of the airline lounges since we have two sets of air tickets.

I read about The Primeclass Lounge at Terminal 1. Apparently, anyone can purchase admission for $54 per person.

Anyone every used this lounge? Is it worth it.

If not, what restaurant options look good for Terminal 1 after security?

You can usually buy a one day pass to the lounge used by your airline.

Egyptair uses the Lufthansa lounge at Terminal 1 at JFK

Lounge Name: Lufthansa Business Lounge

Location: Terminal 1, Departure Area, immediate left after security

Opening Hours:
MON 09:30-22:45;TUE 09:30-22:45;WED 09:30-22:45;THU 09:30-22:45;FRI 09:30-22:45;SAT 09:30-22:45;SUN 09:30-22:45;

You might want to contact that lounge and ask if they offer one day passes. Or ask Egyptair.

Based on Lufthansa's websites it doesn't appear that we qualify for a one day admission to their lounge.
Still, the Primeclass Lounge is open to anyone.

Thanks for the information, still, I am hoping that someone that has used the Primeclass Lounge or other lounges will post their experience.

Are you aware that the TWA hotel offers day rates?

Are day stays available?
The TWA Hotel offers Daytripper℠ reservations for four hours or more from 6 AM to 8 PM.

To book a Daytripper℠ stay, click BOOK NOW at the top of your screen. On the next page, click BOOK A DAYTRIPPER℠ STAY.

Please note Daytripper℠ reservations are non-refundable and may not be moved or cancelled.

If you are interested in adding a Daytripper℠ stay to your overnight reservation, the best thing to do is book an overnight reservation and add late checkout or early check-in. After you select the guestroom, you will see a screen that says Enhance Your Stay. Scroll down and click your preferred time to add it to the reservation.

Unfortunately our technology does not allow us to combine overnight and Daytripper℠ stays.

Frank,
Thanks for the tip. I am familiar with the TWA Hotel. In fact, I will probably book it for our return the night our flight from Cairo returns to JFK.

Our flight to JAX is not until the next day.

However, on going to JFK, I booked a flight from JAX that arrives at 8:30am and my flight to Cairo is that same day at 5:30pm. I prefer going right to Terminal 1 where the Egyptair flight departs from.

I’ve been to that lounge. It wasn’t great, but for an 8 hour layover… any port in a storm.

It’s a Priority Pass lounge, so gets pretty busy. But that mostly in the evening, before all of T1s international departures.
