We have 1 day in Tangiers and 1 day in Casablanca & looking for a guide that can show us the highlights. I've struggled to find lots of information on either place that isn't attached to the cruise ship excursions, which we don't want to do. Any advice is appreciated!
Terri, we have cruised a lot since I retired in 2010 and even visited Morocco via cruises.
Not sure why you don't want an excursion from the cruise ship. Are you just not interested in taking the ship's excursions or what?
We almost always take private excursions from our cruise ships. There are less people on the tour and the tours are cheaper.
We stopped in Casablanca for our cruise. There is little to see there, except the huge new mosque.
Best to find an excursion to Marrakesh or Rabat.

Thanks...Yes, we like to book our own private excursions verses the ships. We're not into being on a bus with 100+ people. I'm wanting a day of learning history and sightseeing in both spots and want to find good tour guides. Thank you..
We have never been on a bus with 100 persons. Yes, the ship's excursions usually involve 30-40 persons.
We have found the PRIVATE excursions, as I mentioned before usually have smaller groups of no more than 13-14 and are cheaper.
Hiring a private guide just for yourself is very expensive.
