Las Vegas restaurants

Hello forum friends,
We are heading to Vegas for three nights for an Eagles concert at the Sphere. We are staying at the Venetian and wondering what is within walking distance as far as good restaurants. We like all kinds of food and are looking for moderate price, no Michelin stars this time as the concert is already a fortune. Please reply if you have some suggestions and have been and eaten there recently, as in the last couple of years. TIA!

Not sure if it’s out of your price range, but I really enjoyed Bouchon, a restaurant by Thomas Keller. It’s in the Venetian. I ate there before the U2 concert at The Sphere last December. Reservations are a must and make them for an earlier time because I had to wait at least 20 minutes after my reservation time and it made my meal a bit rushed. It’s a very busy place.

Hi Tammy,

Glad you are staying at the Venetian to see the Eagles at the Sphere, it will be so much easier for you to get to and from the concert.

As for restaurants, most of the ones (outside the food court) within walking distance are pricey. However, here are some options to consider. We have eaten at all of these within the last year.

Venetian:

  • Yardbirds: this is Southern Comfort food. Their portions are huge, so you can split an entree or just get a few appetizers. They are known for their Fried Chicken. My favorite was the green tomato BLT.
  • SushiSamba is a fusion of Japanese and Brazilian food. It is one of our favorite places to eat in the Venetian. Like Yardbird, it is a bit pricey, but they a Samba Hour menu from 3-6 on Sunday-Friday and it is very reasonably priced for both drinks and food.
  • Canyon Ranch Cafe (breakfast/lunch); Canyon Ranch is one of my favorite spas and the Las Vegas spa is no exception. They have a creative, healthy, and delicious spa menu that is reasonably priced for breakfast and lunch.

I can also second the recommendation on Bouchon. It is a classic French restaurant with delicious food.

Caesars Palace (~20 minute walk)

  • True Food Kitchen (Forum Shops): Healthy, creative food. We have one near our home we eat at all the time and when we are in Vegas and are tired of rich food, this is a nice restaurant that is modestly priced. I love their grain bowls, salmon, and tuna poke.
