Hi, I will be in Jordan in September & am interested in recommendations for tours in Jordan.
Thank you,
Pam.
I can’t recommend a tour, but I can recommend a driver if you would like to create your own plan. Shoot me a PM if you’d like to go that direction. Or actually, here’s my trip report from 2022.

It’s getting old. Maybe I need to go back.
Thanks, Texas Mum.
That was so interesting & detailed.
I am a bit unsure about hiring someone, but I feel you saw a lot more, not just the usual tourist sights.
Did your driver work for My Way to Jordan?
You are very adventurous & enjoy every minute.
You have given me a lot to think about, it will be hot when I am there but I am locked in to that time of year.
Where to next for you?
Pam :-)
No, my driver does his own thing. Before Covid, he had several drivers working for him. You might not have the same person every day - might depend on where you are going and who lives near there.
I don’t know if saw more but I saw it on my terms. I picked my hotels and destinations. But I like doing that normally. So it’s not better or worse, just different. And I don’t mind traveling by myself.
Hi Pam,
I recently visited Petra in Jordan, and one of the absolute highlights of my trip was Petra By Night - https://www.petrabynight.jo/. Walking through the Siq lit by hundreds of candles and seeing the Treasury glowing in the soft light was a truly magical experience.
It’s held on select evenings each week, so I recommend checking the schedule and booking in advance to fit it into your September trip. It offers such a different, almost mystical perspective compared to visiting Petra during the day.
You’re going to love Jordan - it’s an unforgettable destination!
I know some that have taken a Gate 1 Travel tour of Jordan that was good.
