Hi everyone,
My parents will be visiting me in Jordan next month, and I'd like to find a private driver/ guide for a few day trips while my husband and I have to work. I'll obviously ask around locally, but Jordan has come up enough on this forum that I thought I'd ask here, as well. If you've used a private driver/ guide here that you liked, I would love to have that info! This would be for northern Jordan- day trips to Umm Qais, Dead Sea, etc. Thanks!
We did a private tour of Jordan arranged through Egypt and Beyond last year. (How we came to work with Beyond Egypt for a tour of Jordan is a long story, and I don't know that they would be the best solution for your circumstance.) Anyhow, our driver, Mahmoud, was excellent (as was Beyond Egypt). We had separate guides at Jerash and Petra, but Mahmoud handled everything else.
We used Hamza Fdool for our 8 days in Jordan--he and his team were fantastic and (in our opinion) very fairly priced. He's pretty highly recommended here and on TripAdvisor.
I second Hamza, if you can get him or one of his team this late. In fact, I think maybe I recommended him to Rachel. He was extremely easy to work with, honest and his driver for north Jordan for me was great.

We used Green Olive Tours for Amman, Wadi Rum and Petra. We contacted them directly to coordinate what exactly we wanted to see to not waste any time. Excellent guide/driver. We’ve taken their tours during 2 trips to Israel & Palestine and would do so again.
