For this port, I took an excursion to Hallim Park.
It is magnificent. Hallim Park is a huge piece of land consisting of many gardens including lava caves. Each garden seems to have an identity. We had an hour and a half in Hallim Park which sounds like a lot for a shore excursion but it was not even close. The tour guide said that three hours is a minimum required for Hallim Park but I would say more iike five hours.
But then we moved on to O’Sulloc Green Tea Fields and Museum. This was going to be a complete waste of time. The museum is closed for remodeling. There was not much to see. I though that I heard wrong when the tour guide told us that we had 15 minutes but no, I heard right. Along with that, there is a walk from the bus up the hill to the gift shop where there was a nice bathroom. That was it. you walk from the bus, cross the street, go up the hill, buy some tea and or go to the bathroom and then you walk back. That's it. A couple of people did buy tea.
I would have much preferred if they let us have another half hour or so at Hallim Park since it was a drive from the Park to the Museum
If you are on any kind of excursion that includes O’Sulloc Green Tea Fields and Museum, I suggest that you check to see if the remodeling has been completed and if the museum is open.
Our tour guide offered an escorted excursion around the park or we could do our own thing. I chose the latter. We were given nice maps that even I could understand. It would have been difficult to get lost.
I do not recall the name of the garden that I entered but it was not just beautiful plants. There were many cages of exotic birds, some of which I had never heard of and there were also two small crocodiles or perhaps alligators. The cages were large and contained a few birds. Other birds flew freely I could never complete the entire walk in this garden because I was afraid of going too far and having difficulty walking back
Like most of the attractions, there was a nice gift store which included personal care items, botanicals and very many delicious looking chocolates.
