We will be going next year to the World Expo and wanted a nice hotel close to the Expo grounds. What is the closest good hotel to stay and other hotel near the Expo. Which hotel would you suggest to stay at?

If you look on google Maps, satellite view, you will see that the Expo grounds areon an island, probably purpose-built, connected to another island by a tunnel. That connected island offers a number of hotels, and knowing Japanese city hotels, I am pretty sure they are all good.
This one is the closest, but there are about 8 more nearby.

Their booking engine shows no rooms available after February, but probably they have not opened up booking yet. The website has a message about opening up rooms month-by-month. The mid-February rooms are around $117-$140 (they only display the p[rice in dollars, not yen). I imagine that will go way up during the Expo.
