Anybody been to Jamaica lately? It was "never again" destination for me, but we have a wedding to go to. We'll be in the Montego Bay area. Anything worth leaving the hotel beach for?

We just came back 2 weeks ago. We were in Negril.
We did not leave the resort at all. Just FYI, Jamaica was level 1 when we went, now is level 3.
If you decide to go outside your resort, I believe the best way is contracting a guided tour. Jamaica has a high level of crime, but the beaches are beautiful.

MoBay is my least favourite place in Jamaica. I would take guided tours to Ocho Rios or Negril (Rick's Cafe is a lot of fun) if we were based there.

Jamaica is not on my list of places to visit.
We live on coastal Georgia next to beaches and never go on a trip to visit beaches.
The Caribbean has some great islands where crime is MUCH better than Jamaica.

Oh yes, I agree I wouldn't choose it on my own. Been to Ocho Rios on a cruise and that was enough. But its not my wedding, so not my choice. We'll make the best of it. Thanks.
