Are there restrictive entry requirements; we are fully vaccinated?
Right now, Israel is closed to tourists. There is talk that it may reopen later this month but nothing official yet.

I check this status daily as I am eager to visit family there. As of now, this is what I have found:
1. US citizens can be admitted if they can prove they have a first/ degree relative who is a citizen. ( a complicated form that includes apostilles of appropriate documents to be submitted online not more than 24 hours prior to travel). You also need the PCR test ahead of time, and both a PCR and serological test when you arrive at the airport. Quarantine mandates may be in place.
2. It appears Israel may open to tour groups this month, but not to individual travelers.
3. In addition to any or all of the above, you must have had your second jab less than six months ago, or your third booster jab at least a week prior to flying.
That last one is the trickiest. Here in WA only the immunocompromised qualify for a booster shot.
We have a tour of Israel and Jordan booked for next March, hoping that it will be a go by then.
