We had a great tour of Israel booked for March, but cancelled it due to Israel being closed. In early January, Israel reopened to tourism.
I decided that I would pick a place where I could depend on being open.

I wouldn't say there's any place in the world that is 100% certain to be open in the coming year.
Israel was doing extremely well combating Coronavirus... until it suddenly wasn't.
Places likely to be open include most of South America, East Africa for safari, Egypt.
I'm happy to hear that news. It's been really difficult for tour guides ever since the pandemic began.
Sorry you canceled your tour, Geo. It looks like we'll be pretty open starting in March. We've dropped most of the restrictions, though indoor masking is still required. People entering Israel still have to take a PCR test at the airport and quarantine until they get a negative result, usually within 8-12 hours.
Let's all hope that there isn't another wave of Covid waiting in the wings. The new Omicron variant is a bit worrying.
Thank you Frank for this link. does anyone know the details how it works. based on the links it says tours are offered but wasn't sure how to find details about it. Also does anyone know if crossing by land if they accept Credit card for visa fee?
