The article suggests tipping many individuals that it would be unthinkable to tip twenty years ago. Needless to say, I disagree with many of the suggestions. Personally it'll be a cold day in &*%% before I tip a plumber or an appliance delivery person. Not meaning to start a "food fight", just thought I'd post the link for your perusal.
I had a good laugh at some of the suggestions in the article. This is entitlement gone to the extreme.
Not a travel issue, but I did tip mattress deliverymen who set up the mattress for me, including putting on the mattress cover and removing the old mattress. I have no problem tipping people who are more helpful than they are required to be, because you can't count on employers to reward such people.
If I ever run across a damsel in distress being threatened by a dragon, I'm going to hold out for a tip first. After all, I'm going out of my way to be helpful.
Allan, what amount would be the appropriate tip in that situation? I want to be ready in case I ever have a dragon encounter in Canada.
Webmaster, this is an appropriate post because it involves travel to Canada.
