India -- Train ----- help, much help needed

I'm trying my best to book a train from New Delhi to Agra (and back).
I know the date, the time, the train, the class I want ------ HOWEVER, I can't get any of the websites to work (for one reason or another).

I'm trying to use the following websites:
* IRCTC
* MakeMyTrip
* Cleartrip
* Yantra

Does anyone have a good website to use. I've been working at this for about 4hrs and can't get any of them to work properly

Browsers I've been trying:
* Chrome
* Safari

I've:
* got permission from my hotel in Agra to use their address and phone number when I'm booking (if I need a local number)
* VPN'd into multiple countries to try to purchase from other places
* rebooted my machine
* hard wired my machine to make sure I was getting all the speed of my internet provider (600/60)

I'm so frustrated.

As close as I've come to traveling in India is a lot of research in fall 2019 (timing is everything!) for a future tour, which obviously hasn't happened yet. My impression from my research was that buying train tickets in India can be quite a challenge even if you are in-country. I wonder whether it would be possible for you to work through an Indian travel agency. No doubt the tickets would cost somewhat more, but you might be able to take care of this relatively easily.

I have no specific recommendation for you, but it's always a good idea to check the Seat61.com website. Perhaps you'll find useful info there.

I haven't travelled India since the 80s - but frankly - why not just book it at the station when you arrive? Sometimes booking in advance is just too difficult. - Just tonight I went down and booked my tickets for Trieste for tomorrow - didn't even stand in the line went to the info guy - he did it online for me- but he has a printer and I don't - plus tap and go with the card so no issue there.

Based on my reading circa 2019, it's not uncommon for Indian trains to sell out. I believe the fares are subsidized, and many residents don't have cars, so demand can exceed supply.

I've continued to have issues and can NOT purchase a train ticket from any of the websites I mentioned.
I have since called my hotel where I will stay and they are helping me.
