I want to take my family and I need to know which is a better choice for March 2018. Also would taking a Hurtigruten cruise be a better idea?

The northern lights are readily visible from both countries if the conditions are right! In Norway, many people go to Tromso since it is the northernmost town of any size with enough hotels and restaurants to make it convenient for tourists there to see the skies!
In Iceland you can see the lights from Reykjavik but it's darker outside of the city...I am going to Iceland during the first week of April and, according to my research, the area around Hella is a place away from the mountains where they skies are quite dark. My friend and I are planning to spend a night or two there on a horse farm that has lodging. I hope we're lucky enough to get to see the aurora there!
Thanks so much
This resort in Finland is not cheap, but it looks so cool! I have not been there, but it is on my list.
