Iceland in April??

I just found ridiculously cheap round trip airfare to Iceland for the first week in April...$370 from LAX! So tempted to jump on it but am unsure about weather, daylight, etc. Has anyone been during this time of the year? I have no problem with very cold weather and actually prefer it that way. I would spend a day or two in Reykjavik but then would want to drive out to see the great natural beauty I've read so much about. Are snow/ice on the roads anything to worry about? I just have no idea...thanks in advance for any tips!

You do realize that if you use Google you can get expected temperature ranges for that time of year as well as sunrise and sunset times.

Just because it is called Iceland doesn't mean it is covered in ice. April will be cool but not freezing. Days in the low 40's, nights in the low 30's. Sunrise about 6:30AM and sunset about 8:30 PM.

It could snow. It snowed when I was there in late October but the snow didn't stick. I'm going back in February because it rained every night I was there and didn't get to see the Northern Lights. I'll stopover on my way to London and Rome to give it another try.
