I don't think I could stomach eating meat. Is it possible to eat veggie dishes while visiting Morocco without appearing rude? Thank you
I googled "vegan in Morocco" and got loads of hits, mostly travel blogs. I suggest looking there.
This blog (dated July 31, 2024) lists a few vegan restaurants in Morocco.
I just returned from Morocco three weeks ago. I do eat dairy but otherwise don’t eat animal products. There were plentiful and delicious veggie foods throughout Morocco. Hope you like eggplant, tomatoes, zucchini, rice, lentils, chickpeas, breads (usually made without eggs or milk), and cous cous!
Thank you everyone for the information! Much appreciated!! :)
And you didn’t ask, but it’s relevant to the topic of eating veggies in Morocco: my research led me to decide not to eat any raw veggies or fruit that I did not peel myself. This meant not eating the cucumbers, raw tomatoes, grapes, etc. A couple of people in my tour group got mild gastrointestinal issues during the trip; I did not. You may want to do further research to determine to what extent you will want to forego raw veggies etc.
Thanks! I appreciate you mentioning this.
