Have option of doing extended layover in Dubai - How Long?

I’m flying to Tel Aviv via Dubai and my flight lands in Dubai 7 pm on 06/30 (last day of June) and I have the option of leaving for Tel Aviv at 3 pm 07/01, 7 pm 07/01, or leaving for Tel Aviv at 8 am, 3 pm, or 7 pm 07/02 (so that there’s a full day in between).

I wanted to see these attractions (super important means I have to see it):

  • Dubai mall (super important!!!!)
  • Aura infinity pool (super important!!!)
  • Burj Khalifa (super important!!! ideally for sunset. The 7 pm booking is 100 AED cheaper than the 6 pm. Is 7 pm entrance good for sunset or should I do the 6 pm?)
  • Dubai Marina (go to beach, willing to drop this for time)
  • Palm Jumeirah
  • Jumeirah
  • Museum of the future (unsure if I want to just see it or will purchase tickets to go inside)
  • Old Dubai and Gold Souk
  • Jet Skiing (if time allows)

I was thinking having a full day would be ideal, so maybe leave 07/02 would be best? I’m thinking leaving the morning of 07/02 might make sense and then I have a full day there. Any opinions appreciated!

How did you do in the end? Stayed in Dubai for a day? My list would be: Museum of the Future, Jet Skiing, and definitely the Burj Khalifa. Speaking of water activities like Jet Skiing, I recently came across YepRent, which is an amazing platform for booking all kinds of water adventures in Dubai. They have a variety of options from wakeboarding to wakesurfing. So, if you're still planning or considering another layover in the future, it might be a great way to add some exciting water-based activities to your itinerary. See the link https://yeprent.com

That is a pretty hefty list for one day. With this much, I would choose the 7pm departure on 7/2, giving yourself a day and a half and maybe stay on the Palm or in the Marina area. You will need to be at the airport 3 hours early and it’s about an hour to the airport, so that takes up about half a day on 7/2.

I agree with TexasTravelmom, given the number of attractions on the list, trying to cover them all in one day would be quite hectic and might not allow for an enjoyable experience. Opting for the 7 pm departure on 07/02 seems like a more reasonable choice.

We did a great 7 Emirates tour that was great, but I think now only 6 Emirates are offered. It was a 14 hour tour.
