Has anybody traveled with Odysseys Unlimited?

We have gone on two Odysseys Unlimited trips- Japan and Egypt with Jordan. We can’t praise Odysseys Unlimited high enough for the wonderful travel experiences they provided for us!
If you do book the Egypt trip, make sure you book the Jordan extension which offers even more than incredible Petra.

Since RS just does Europe, we were looking for a similar tour company for other areas. We did the Odyssey’s tour of New Zealand last year and are booked on Odyssey’s tour of Japan this fall. We were very impressed with the New Zealand experience on Odyssey’s. Similar size and atmosphere and tour members as RS with somewhat nicer hotels. Also, Odyssey’s will handle your flight booking and provide airport transfers if desired, although we opted for the cheaper “land only” price and handled our own flights.

I have done two trips -- Turkey and southern Italy -- with Odysseys Unlimited. Both trips were terrific, with knowledgeable guides, great accommodations, and reasonable prices. I would recommend them wholeheartedly. When I was looking at tours to Egypt, Odysseys Unlimited was my top choice among American tour companies. (In the end, I wound doing a private tour with an Egyptian company --- but that is not because of any issues with Odysseys.)

I went to Kenya and Tanzania with Odyssey last summer. It was a wonderful trip, and I was really impressed with Odyssey. They really take care of their customers. We loved our guide, the places we went to, and the lodges we stayed at. The best thing I can say is that we hope to do another tour with them.

We booked our airfare ourselves. I like to arrive a couple of days early and I’m picky about things like layovers.

We have never used Odysseys, but I have traveled with others that gave them a good review.

We have done several tours with Gate 1 Travel and been very satisfied. Our tour of Egypt a couple of years ago, we compared to several other tour companies and it's price could not be beaten.
