Hungary wished the U.S. a happy 250th birthday by lighting the iconic Széchenyi Chain Bridge in red, white, and blue across the Danube river.

The U.S. Embassy in Budapest and the City of Budapest collaborated to host Independence Day celebrations at Várkert Bazár and the Rakpart.Local festivities featured live music, food, and public tributes commemorating the U.S. Semiquincentennial.

Paris Celebrates US 250. Eiffel Tower Illumination: The Eiffel Tower was spectacularly illuminated in the red, white, and blue of the U.S. flag, displaying the massive illuminated letters "US 250" to kick off the anniversary.

We were in Budapest on America's 250th birthday. It was a treat to be able to walk across the Chain Bridge lined with all of the American flags!
