Halong Bay-Vietnam

We are planning a trip to Halong Bay. I thought I had found the cruise I wanted (3 days, 2 nights) used by friends. Due to scheduling conflicts, we were not able to use this cruise line. If you have been to Halong Bay-what cruise line did you use and did you enjoy it. Thank you

In November 2018 I went to Halong Bay as part of a Road Scholar tour. We spent one night on a ship and visited Tien Ong Cave. I can’t help you with a cruise line but I’m sure you can find a highly rated one. As you most likely know, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is absolutely gorgeous.

It was a few years ago, but we used Indochina Junk, Dragon's Pearl junk 3 day/2 night cruise through Ha Long and BaiTu Long Bays and enjoyed every minute! They picked us up by van from our hotel in Ha Noi for a rather long, but scenic drive to Hon Gai Harbor. The our room was comfortable and lovely. The staff took amazing care of us, especially the kitchen crew who fed us some of the best meals we had in Vietnam, or on any cruise for that matter! The scenery is stunning, we visited a floating fishing village, kayaked at sunset, had an amazing 7 course dinner in a cave the second night. Highly recommend them. www.indochina-junk.com

Visited as part of a Silversea cruise (departed Singapore, various stops in Vietnam, arrival in Hong Kong). Enjoyed seeing Halong Bay, but unfortunately the day we were there (late winter), smog/fog combo kept it from looking as glorious as the web/brochure photos show it (when the sky is blue and crystal clear). The air pollution in Vietnam was bad that time of year.

Thanks for the information. Now, we just need to decide and book.
