female urinal products

I am going on a safari in Botswana Africa at the end of November. Can anyone recommend a female urinal I can use while on the 3 game drives? thank you

The sheewee is popular, but I went with Pitch and Trek Women's Silicone Urination Device for Travel & Outdoor. Find it on the "evil empire" website. There are various brands that have carrying cases--I do wish I had gone with that, but the device itself is easy to use.

I have a Sheewee, but rarely use it. We hike and backpack, and I bought it for this. It is just much easier to drop the pants and go, and if there is no tree for privacy, oh well. People can look or not, I don't really care anymore.

I lived in Ghana for 7 years. People just pee on the side of the road. It is no big deal.

I use this. Unlike others, apparently, I'm more modest. There's no way I'm hanging my butt out in public if I can help it. Besides who wants to see people's butts or worse as they walk! I can't imagine using this in a driver's seat as one of the videos suggests. LOL. I pack a plastic sandwich bag with it as well for after use.

Second vote for Wray's brand of female urinal!

I go to Yellowstone every year for a couple of weeks. I had reservations last June for a lodge in a fabulous location for wildlife and birding but all I could get was the shared bath cabins, even on the day in 2022 when reservations opened for 2023. I don't mind the shared bath situation there BUT I hate to go out in the middle of the night because it means getting some warm layers on, grabbing bear spray and a headlamp and going out in the usually freezing temps. So...bought the urinal Wray links to and took along an opaque water bottle to "decant" it into. It worked beautifully.

I liked the softer material as opposed to the kinds that have the harder plastic. One thing to consider is the reservoir and making sure it will hold the volume you need without overflowing.

I do recommend practicing in the shower until you can get the positioning right.

Agree with the ziplock to store it in after use.

Just saw this.
Try a P-style. Easy to use and clean and you do not have to take your pants down. It is discreet and light.
Practice at home first on the toilet, sitting down. Then try it standing up. It is tougher to do than one imagines.

I travel to Africa most years and travel with the p-style. Easy to use, clean and take along. Have a great trip!

I guess but depends on your frequency, but my experiences are that tours include frequent toilet stops. Private trips, require a few more natural nature stops. As it was just me and the guide, I would just 'check a tire' at the jeep back and squat. Granted twice I was caught by incoming low flying planes, but if your knees work, that may be easiest.

So there are no surprises, ensure you practice at home with any urinal and in the clothing you will be wearing on the trip.
Plan to carry out any paper or discards.
You will not be able to leave the immediate area of the vehicle if unfenced areas with lion or wildlife risks.
