El Salvador in June - What to Expect During Rainy Season?

Hello everyone,
I’ll be traveling to El Salvador for 6 days during the second week of June and wanted to get some insights on what to expect weather-wise. From what I understand, June is part of the rainy season, but I’m curious to know more about what that typically looks like.
Is it similar to Florida in the summer, where there are brief afternoon showers, or can we expect all-day rain? We’re hoping to explore the volcanoes and enjoy some beach time, so any advice on the weather conditions during this period would be really helpful!
Also, airfare was a great deal, so we’re excited to make the most of the trip. What are some pros and cons of traveling to El Salvador during the rainy season?

Thanks in advance for your tips and recommendations!
