I recall from visiting South America many years ago that Ecuador has lots of good beers. Not sure I understood why, but they were better than average. Has this changed? Are they still leaders?
Any suggestions?
I'll be primarily in Quito, before heading to Galapagos.
In February I was in Ecuador and discovered pub called Golden Prague Pub. The owner is Czech and most employees are also Czechs. They brew their own beer. It was the best beer I drank in Ecuador. They import hops and barley from the Czech Rep. They also produce beer in bottles which is sold around Ecuador and some other South American countries. The pub is in Cuenca.
