Footprint Guides cover South America well. I used one for Argentina and Ecuador. Consider visiting your local library too, they are likely to have something.

For my 2012 trip to Ecuador I used an Ecuador guidebook by Moon Publications. It was pretty good; if they're still publishing updates of this book, you may want to look into getting one.
