My cruise is in Djakarta for the day on February 23. I would like recommendations for the best value tour and must see sites/experiences to take while in Djakarta and/or tips on how to plan the day touring by ourselves.

If you're interested in history, I'd recommend Kota Tua, the old town. You can probably just get a Grab (SE Asian version of Uber) and explore by yourself. If you have only one day, that's probably all you can manage - it's easily the worst city in SE Asia for traffic congestion.
Just a note on spelling, Djakarta is the old spelling - it was phased out about 50 years ago...

Second above recommendation and the Wayang puppet museum in particular located there.
Jakarta has a lot of character but very little charm.
