Would like to take a day trip from Montreal to Quebec City. Planning for late June. Can leave early in the day and return late in the evening. Staying overnight in QC really isn't an option. Looking for suggestions and/or recommendations. Thank you.

Least expensive and most options would be to take the bus - takes 3:15 - earliest from Montreal leaves at 7am - last departure from Quebec is at 7:30pm.

We took a bus tour ...stopped at a waterfall and then Quebec. I think it was Gray line. Very good
