As my husband has health limitations, cruises make sense for us. Are there small ship cruises around Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick? We're open to anything possible in July in that general vicinity. We would appreciate any and all suggestions. One other option are high end hotels from which we could have numerous day trips.
Google offers up this, this, and this. Your own Google search might produce results more targeted to what you want. But it's probably too late to book anything for this July.
There are good hotels all over the maritime provinces, one that comes to mind is the Keltic Lodge in Ingonish, Nova Scotia, which would be a good base for exploring Cape Breton Island. Halifax certainly has plenty of choices. Again, some time with Google, including Google Maps, can help you search with more precision.

Look at Azamara cruise lines.

I did a big cruise ship Canada and New England cruise with my Mom when she was in her 70s and a little more limited. We didn't stop in PEI, though. I thought it was a very good trip and the ship was well prepared to help older, more limited passengers to find and take excursions that were within their abilities.
Tigerfan,
Which cruise company did you use, please?
Princess. It was my first time and though I would not categorize myself as a big cruise person, we had a wonderful time.
Tigerfan, Thank you.
