Costa Rico

We're planning a trip to Costa Rico and are looking for a good tour, with a knowledgeable guide. We'd like to do some birding and observe other wildlife. Can anyone recommend a good company?

I'm unclear as to whether you want to hire a guide for a day, from a specific place in Costa Rica, or if you want a multiday, fully guided tour of the country. If the latter, what time of year, how many days, how active, and what level of amenities do you prefer?

Road Scholar has several tours to Costa Rica. Some birding focused, others more general. Here is a link to the search page on their website for the CR tours.

There are 2 pretty active Facebook groups for Road Scholar participants. One is Friends of Road Scholar and the other is Women of Road Scholar (if you have a female companion who wants to join). There are many posts on there about the Costa Rica programs and I can't remember anything but positive comments.

I was looking for the multi-day private tour. I not sure how munch to see so I don't know how many days, and we are older, so comfortable accommodations would be needed.
