Who's watching it.
I watched US v Bolivia earlier today. Fun!
Not me, the Euros is by far the best football tournament, even more so than the World Cup.
I'd probably watch it if the Euros wasn't on and if I was somewhere where I could watch it at a reasonable time rather than the early hours of the morning.
Yes Nick we have men’s and women’s football teams:) The women’s team has done reasonably well over the years and the men’s is trying hard! In spite of being better known for hockey, the number of kids who play football here is quite a high percentage.
Watching everything I can - Euro and Copa. With the addition of the Tour de France and Olympic trials, I may not move from my chair for a long time. That Canada match was great and I’m impressed how they all survived the heat. Wasn’t that the match where one of the referees collapsed?
we are. We've been keeping an eye on the Euros during the day and watching the Copa at night. The Peru-Canada game a couple nights ago was particularly riveting. Looking forward to team USA tonight.
I'm only a casual follower of MLS usually but the difference in on-field dramatics, aggressive play, things that really ought to be fouls but aren't called, arguing with the ref, etc., between Copa play and regular season MLS is making for some lively matches.
Hot take: Messi gets way too much attention. And as rich as he is, does he really need to shill for Adidas, Michelob and Lowe's??
I haven't caught live matches yet but I am following the highlights, as a few of my home Timbers (MLS men's team) players are playing for their respective national teams. I'd watch the Euros but my cutting of the cable choice has significantly limited my viewing options. I'm probably more excited for the Olympics as the US women's team is going to be epic, but I'm biased as two of my favorite Thorns (NWSL women's) players are on the squad. They'll hear me in Paris yelling for those matches.
PS to Nick in Sevilla, just to confuse you there are Copa America matches being played in Kansas City, Kansas (Children's Mercy Park, where the MLS men's team plays) and in Kansas City, Missouri (GEHA field, where the US football team Kansas City Chiefs play). No matches there, but there is also a separate woman's football/soccer stadium that opened this year to host the NWSL team (that one is in Missouri). Kansas is all about the football of all kinds.
