Choosing National Parks to visit in Tasmania help please

You all have been so amazing helping with our plans. I would love for you to help me to decide which are the most unique/scenic/beautiful to experience.

We are going to spend a couple of days going to wineries. Then, we are going to some of the great places that you all have recommended. Unfortunately, we won't have time for all of them.

These are the ones we are considering and would love if you could help us by saying definitely see it or not as important kind of thing:

  1. Freycinet National Park
    1. Cradle Mountain/Lake St. Clair
    2. Tasman National Park
    3. Mount Field National Park
    4. Bruny Island

We will be able to do 3 for sure - maybe four...

We both have an interest in seeing Bruny Island. Is that a place where we should do a boat tour around the island?

Thank you all so much,
Laurie

A bit late to this, have been enjoying summer and taking a break from social media.

Bruny Island. Named after French Rear Admiral Bruni D’Entrecasteaux. The channel between the island and Tasmanian mainland also bears his name. Not too far from where I live when in Tasmania. I have driven over to Bruny a few times and sailed there. To sail in the channel with the land on either side is visually stunning.

This local business offers the best water options: https://www.brunycruises.com.au/ . The full day tour is the one I would go for https://www.brunycruises.com.au/#tours. I think booking directly with them would be best. My daughter, husband, their children, and a gaggle of friends did the 3-hour bit from Adventure Bay during Oct 21 and were entertained by a young humpback practicing its breaching technique.

Should one decide on driving on the island this website gives suggestions on food etc. https://hobartandbeyond.com.au/blog/a-gourmet-guide-to-bruny-island/.

National Parks.

Tintaldra’s tough call is on the mark. If we were playing bridge, I would double that call.

Almost 25% of mainland Tasmania is classified Wilderness World Heritage site. Additionally, there is 19 National parks, 816 nature reserves covering a further approximately 40%. Some are overlapping. Add to these 21 marine reserves.

Probably Cradle Mountain offers the easiest access, comfortable facilities, and opportunities at sunset to observe the unique nocturnal wildlife. Autumnal April/May is the time I enjoy. https://www.abc.net.au/news/science/2020-04-26/true-blue-autumn-leaves-are-turning/12147698. Mid-winter with a decent snowfall is nice and quiet.

Found this YouTube to share about one of my favourites not too far from where I live. https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=Hartz+Peak+youtube&mid=42C17A09A1B8BABF92DF42C17A09A1B8BABF92DF&FORM=VIRE. Summer is the best time. The duckboards are to protect the flora, not necessarily to make things easy for hikers. The tarn water temperature mid-summer is about 5c.
