My son and daughter in law live on canal.in Cape Coral direct hit but somehow their house had no damage only someone's boat in their yard. They went to neighbors across the street on higher ground. Left house at midnight 140 mile hour winds and when they got to end of driveway to cross street water above waist. It was long long 20 some hours without contact due to cell.coverage. All prayers for us were answered. Hope other people in our community on this site are as lucky.

So is the footage from some of the now-destroyed watch camera, which were hung at about eight feet, if I understood correctly. The footage was absolutely terrifying.

It looks !ike Fort Myers is almost 90% destroyed so awful. We were blessed and feel so bad for others who now have nothing and are really destitute

The neighbors who own the other side of our twin home have their primary residence in Naples. They said that, as near as they've been able to find out, that their home is intact but that many others they know down there have big challenges to deal with. At least no one they know is unaccounted for.
