Hi, my name is joy and i'll be visiting Israel for an official work next month. Duration of my stay will be around 40 days. Is it beneficial to take health insurance (for such less duration)? I was thinking of taking the cheapest health insurance just to avoid any extreme situation. I got one option in Meuhedet International. What are the other alternatives available for me.

Check what your US travel insurance covers. My Israeli travel insurance is charged per day abroad and includes both medical care abroad and evacuation home. The Meuhedet plan looks similar to our local medical health care insurance, where you are limited to those doctors, labs, clinics, and hospitals that work with whichever company you choose.
AmEx has very reasonable rates for health travel insurance.
