Casablanca - half day tour guide

We are booked on a tour with (another company) that starts in Casablanca and ends in Marrakesh. My other half and I are looking at a half day tour of Casablanca before our actual tour begins.

There are only two things we really want to see in Casablanca. The mosque. And Rick's Cafe. Yes, we know the mosque is only open at certain times. Yes, we know that the Rick's Cafe is a tourist spot since the film was done in the States. We also know that you can take a taxi to both places.

What I'm trying to find out - Do you know if there are any reputable companies that do a half day tour of Casablanca which includes these two locations?

Thank you in advance.

I don’t know what you would see of Rick’s Cafe on a tour. Just the outside maybe? We made a reservation for lunch and took a cab from our hotel. Yes, it was a corny thing to do but it was the best darn meal we had in Morocco and the cafe is really pretty inside. If you really want a half day tour, your hotel could probably advise you.

Agree. Casablanca is not very interesting.

I don't know of any tour companies. If you're thinking that would be easier than doing it yourself, I'd say, "be bold," and take the regular taxi. It's a pretty cosmopolitan city, with McDonalds and Starbucks. Between the Mosque and Rick's Cafe is a 15-20 minute walk on a straight road.

You could also walk through the old medina with a moderate chance of getting lost. It isn't as big as other cities but you still may need to ask for directions. I don't recall visiting it, myself.

Thanks for all of the replies! :-) I appreciate it. From what I can see online, cab fares there seem so much more reasonable than what they are here in my home town. That's definitely a plus for the cab option.

Thanks again! :-)
