We will be in South Korea in April and are planning a 4 to 5 day road trip from Seoul to Busan plus a car on Jeju Island for 3 to 4 days. Recommendations for rental car companies and other tips would be most appreciated.

Have you driven in Korea? Aware that it’s a right hand driving environment? Driving in big cities is a memorable experience to say the least. Traffic and driving that at times make Italian drivers look timid. The usual American (but global) rental car agencies are available.
The National Railway system is phenomenal with main line routes on great frequencies around the country.
Seoul is an incredible city. I would visit the markets scattered around the city among other things. Can’t speak to Busan as it’s changed drastically from when I went there for a long wknd from Seoul….many years ago.
