I've scheduled a trip to El Calafate, Argentina
I want to rent a car there (I will NOT travel to Chile)
The car rental I had planned for has fallen through and I'm looking for a new car rental.
I've been in contact with nunatak and they have a car to rent.
Does anyone have first hand experience with renting from this company?
My trip is coming up (like in 2ish weeks) and I'm scrambling for a solution.

I would question whether you need a car. What are you doing there that you want one? Taxi and bus are very easy to use there and cheap.
Sorry, no help really. Saw on the Hertz site to "call" for reservations, but online res not possible.
Looking at your other posts and your plans to be in Borneo for Christmas, I suspect only the space station astronauts have more flight miles.
I suppose you could make a res with them and if they look sketchy when you get there you can see what the other options are. Given the locale I suspect few

Yes - this xmas time I'm all over the map.
I tried Hertz - but they have nothing available (they did when I started planning then was told no)
The car company I'm considering has reviews of GREAT to AVOID.
I prefer having a car so i can manage my time (and when needed I can car camp) OK truth be told I try and car camp as much as possible.
I don't think (based on my research) that showing up / canceling my reservation on the spot will allow me to find another option.
thanks for the help -- I'm starting to come to the realization that I'll need to use public transportation and get hotels booked.
