Hello, we are revisiting Buenos Aires in couple of months after a short trip there in January. I welcome any recommendations for hotels in the Palermo district. We are aware of which neighborhoods to avoid and have seen the recent posts here so I'd like to focus on Palermo if you have anything you can share.
Thank you!
Palermo is nice, but not terribly convenient to sightseeing the city.
We stayed in a BnB closer to downtown. It was ten years ago and don't remember it.

Can’t help with the Palermo area. We were perfectly comfortable with Scala Hotel Buenos Aires in the San Telmo area. We were able to walk to all the sites from it and never felt unsafe. It is very much a working class neighborhood, so out of many peoples’ comfort zone. The only questionable area we visited was La Boca and we didn’t go there at night. We were there in 2016.
We arrived in Buenos Aires and went to our hotel in the city proper. After being followed and made to feel unsafe we changed hotels and had a wonderful experience at the Melia Recoleta Plaza Hotel. The building was formerly Juan Peron’s home.
We felt safe in Recoleta and enjoyed walking and dining there.
We won’t be returning to Buenos Aires though as the city had an uncomfortable edge to it except for Recoleta.
I recently stayed at the Nuss Buenos Aires Soho hotel near Plaza Serrano. Cute little hotel with lots of restaurants nearby to walk to. Staff was friendly and helpful and they will store luggage if you arrive before check in.
