Broome or Exmouth or both?

Last month we flew to Perth and headed north getting as far as Shark Bay/Denham before heading back south for a family event an hour south of Perth. We have previously visited a chunk of Western Australia's SW corner.
We have another family event in the West next August. We are a bit undecided. Option a) fly to Exmouth and tour the area between Exmouth and Carnarvon back to Exmouth then fly to Perth.
Option b) fly to Broome and sightseeing around Broome then fly to Perth. Option c) fly to Broome sightseeing around Broome and then fly to Exmouth and sightseeing between Exmouth and Carnarvon. Obviously option c is a bit dependent on available time.
While I am pretty much on top of what to see and do between Exmouth and Carnarvon I have not much idea re Broome. Early stages of researching but I am struggling to discover what it is that draws so many tourists to Broome.
Is there anyone out there who has visited Broome?

I have only been to Broome once quite a few years ago. I was however, blown away by how fascinating a place it was.
We did a sunset camel ride on Cable Beach. Depending on time of year there is staircase to the Moon which attracts hundreds if not thousands when it occurs. The king tides which are the highest in Australia can be watched coming in or you could go on a horizontal falls boat ride before they are banned in 2028. There are dinosaur footprints, the pearling industry, the outdoor cinema.
You could also do a Cape Leveque tour which was worthwhile and extremely interesting.
I would happily spend another few weeks there.
