Boston historic walking tours recs

It will be my first time visiting next month and if there's a place worth a historical walking tour, it's Boston. I've browsed the Freedom Trail tours but I'd love to get recs on other good ones. Are any worth it over the free app-based tour the National Park service offers (I don't know if it's been sterilized since Jan 2025). I'm in excellent walking shape.

Thanks in advance!

Sites in nearby Lexington -- where the revolution against British rule began -- are interesting. It's about 12 miles northwest of Boston. I found this site with a 2.5-mile-long hike: https://lexington250.com/self-guided-walking-tour-itinerary-in-lexington-ma-immersing-in-revolutionary-history-one-day/.

As you mentioned, the Freedom Trail in Boston is fascinating. I especially liked seeing Paul Revere's home, the Old North Church and Faneuil Hall.

Take the T down to Quincy and visit The Adams National Park . The birthplace homes of both John Adams and that of John Quincy Adams. The Adams family home, Peacefield , and the gardens ( you will be there as spring foliage starts to bloom) and The Stone Library . Finally , back in town on Hancock Street , the church where both Presidents and first ladies are entombed. As you might guess, I'm a John Adams fan , arguably one of best presidents this country has ever had. ( John Adams , in addition to his achievements as a Statesman and his efforts to secure America's Independence , He was the only Founder not to be a slave owner ) One further comment - John Adams was one half of a partnership based on mutual respect , intellectual equality , and great love with his magnificent wife , Abigail .

Oops!! Another vote for Marblehead , a really nice walk from town takes you out to Marblehead Neck , and a beautiful park and lighthouse.
